Still, I Dream…
Since I was eight, I wanted to be a writer. I loved story time and trips to the Library to read, and dream my own stories to life within my imagination. As child, I watched and read stories told in many forms. Mrs. Norma, a local Liberian at the Colquitt County Library inspired me the moment I saw her tell stories from a puppet mouse. It motivated me to imagine, create and adventure throughout my youth, and yet, today still, I dream.
Without a humbled heart, peaceful mind, and dedicated soul as Martin Luther King Jr, who fought for equal rights for all humanity. I would not have had the opportunity, I have now today to accomplish the dream, I dreamed twenty years ago. Now, this day, I am what I dreamed and honored to have had such a brave being as Dr. King, who gave his life to fight for the freedom I have today as a citizen here in the United States of America. Yet, we, as the people still struggle. We need to continue Dr. Kings Legacy, and fight for the future of our tomorrow. Look at how far we have come to allow violence destroy Dr. king's dream. Dream of peace, and hope for a brighter future before it's too late. Still, I dream that one day we all are able to free ourselves mentally to live the true fulfillment of Dr. King's Legacy and dream for all humankind...
